Leupold Spotting Scope
Leupold Spotting Scopes are made by a family owned company named Leupold & Stevens Inc, a company founded back in 1907 in Beaverton, Oregon.
It originally started as a repair shop of surveying equipment. It still manufactures surveying equipment, however Leupold are better known for their various optics, i.e. rifle scopes, spotting scopes etc.
Their first hunting scope was built after a hunting incident by Marcus Leupold where his scope got foggy and missed the opportunity to kill a deer. He exclaimed: “I can build a better scope than this!”
And the rest is as they say… history.
